Thank you for trusting Kobussen Buses, Ltd. with your transportation needs. At Kobussen, we pride ourselves in safe, dependable, friendly service; please consider yourself and your group our guest while embarking on your trip. To maintain the consistently high standard of excellence which our customers expect and we at Kobussen demand, the following has been established:

1. A trip is not considered booked until a confirmation is signed, and a deposit is received by Kobussen. Deposits are due upon booking and are to be sent along with your confirmation. The deposit amount is stated on the confirmation; if no deposit amount is listed the trip is due in full before booking.

2. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) has established safety regulations: Drivers are limited to 10 hour driving periods. After 10 hours the driver must have eight (8) consecutive hours off duty away from the customer/group. Drivers must comply with contracted itineraries; no deviations will be permitted without prior office approval.

3. If maps and itineraries are not received 10 business days prior to the scheduled departure date the trip may be subject to cancellation with loss of deposit. The customer must submit an itinerary to Kobussen that meets the FMCSA legal driving standards. Detailed itineraries should list all stops with names, addresses and phone numbers to all destinations. Kobussen will not be held responsible for delays incurred due to insufficient information for destinations or pickup locations. Any changes to itineraries (i.e. loading location or pickup times, etc.) must be made directly to the sales staff. Kobussen reserves the right to cancel the contract or charge for any time or mileage that exceeds the amount printed on the contract.

4. Kobussen will not be liable for delays caused by an act of God, public enemies, authority of law, quarantine, perils of navigation, riots, strikes, the hazards or dangers incident to a state of war, accidents, traffic, breakdowns, poor road conditions, adverse weather, or conditions beyond its control, and does not guarantee arrival or departure from any given point at a specified time.

5. Passengers under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a chaperone. The group must supply a minimum of two chaperones, 21 years or older, per bus. One chaperone is to be stationed at the rear of the bus and the other at the front. Chaperones are responsible for the behavior of the passengers. Please note that the driver is not a chaperone.

6. Seating and Safety are top priority; passengers must remain seated always while the bus is in motion. Total number of passengers cannot exceed the capacity of the bus. Charter groups must provide adequate supervision and discipline. For your SAFETY, your driver must devote his full attention driving.

7. Cleanliness is the joint responsibility of the customer and the driver. Any food or drink left on the floor of the vehicle is the responsibility of the customer. If extra cleaning is needed for any reason an additional $75.00 per hour will be billed to the customer. Damage done to the vehicle by the customer or any of the passengers is the financial responsibility of the chartering party.

8. Alcoholic beverages on the bus must be approved prior to departure and may be subject to an extra charge. No glass bottles or kegs are allowed. Smoking is not permitted on any Kobussen vehicles at any time and is against federal law.

9. The viewing or listening of any entertainment (examples DVD, radio, WI-FI, TV) used on the coach is the responsibility of the Charter Party/ Tour Operator/Lessee. Damage to personal items such as DVDs/ Videos and plugged in devices will not be reimbursed.

10. Driver’s lodging is the responsibility of the chartering party along with any parking fees and tolls. Drivers are considered off duty upon arrival at the destination unless otherwise specified. All exceptions, including touring, must be pre-approved.

11. Any damage to baggage during loading or unloading will not be Kobussen’s responsibility. Kobussen will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles on the bus. Law prohibits luggage and coolers from being stored in the aisle way of a bus during transportation. Lost and found items on the bus will be kept for up to 7 business days before being thrown away or donated.

12. The customer shall be responsible for the conduct of the passengers on the trip, both on and off the bus. The carrier will not be liable for any personal injury or property damage caused by any conduct or misconduct of any member of the group being transported and the customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the carrier from any liability or damage carrier may suffer because of claims, demands, costs, or judgments against carrier arising out of the conduct or misconduct of the customers passengers.

13. Wi-Fi is a free service and an open network provided for your convenience and its use is at your own risk. It is available to the public and is NOT INHERENTLY SECURE. The providers cannot and do not guarantee the privacy of your data and communication while using the service. Wi-Fi is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, that the Wi-Fi will be uninterrupted or error-free. Under no circumstances shall Kobussen Buses, Ltd., or affiliates, agents, or contractors thereof, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages that result in any way from user’s use of or inability to use Wi -Fi.

14. Cancellation policy requires 30-day notice prior to the departure date to obtain full refund. Down payment is non-refundable if cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure date. Exception: If Kobussen can rebook the coach for equal or greater amount of time your down payment will be refundable.

Can I have alcohol on the buses?

Yes! Alcohol is allowed! However, no kegs, no glass on the coach/school bus, only cans or plastic allowed on the coach/school bus.

Is gratuity included in my price?

We add a suggested gratuity to your final price. This can be adjusted or removed by the client if desired, but if not it is there for your convenience.

However you would like to tip, it is always appreciated.
